Here, we round up the best Harrods hampers, with each elegant wicker basket bursting with tempting titbits straight from our famous Food Halls.

Brimming with favourites from The Food Halls, from Scottish shortbread and cocoa-dusted almonds to single-origin teas, there's a basket for every taste.

Spring Festival Hampers

The Year of the Horse has arrived, and to celebrate the Lunar New Year, Harrods’ range of Spring Festival hampers are filled with delicacies to cultivate the bold, exploratory spirit of this new season.

Spring Festival Mini Hamper

A masterclass in creating moments that matter, our Spring Festival Mini Hamper is a compact curation of delectable treats. Fragrant loose-leaf jasmine green tea captures the energising spirit of the season, while a box of mixed chocolates comes presented in some very special on-theme packaging.

Spring Festival Hamper

Make sure they enter the new Lunar calendar with the fierce, energetic spirit of the horse on their side. Our Spring Festival hamper is enriched with the choicest of delicacies, from the horse-bearing box of milk-chocolate truffle ganache to the cinnamon-infused honey that will give their morning toast a spice-infused twist. Here’s to a year of prosperity and happiness!

Confectionary and Chocolate Hampers

If cosy, decadently sugary delights are called for, a premium chocolate or sweets hamper won’t ever go amiss. Our iconic Gold Bar – smooth Belgian milk chocolate enriched with chunks of chewy almond nougat – is a perennial pleaser, and our Smoked Salted Caramel Truffles offer a melt-in-the-mouth experience, with each chocolate topped with smoked Halen Môn salt for added depth. A bestseller year-round, our White Chocolate Strawberries are freeze-dried to preserve their crisp sweetness and offer a taste of the Chocolate Hall itself. Tempted yet? See our full guide to chocolate gifts for more inspiration.

Wine Hampers

Wine lover, party host or that hard-to-buy-for friend – gift them everything they need to raise a celebratory toast with a wine and spirits hamper. The Harrods Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Vintage 2013 Champagne – enhanced with partial ageing in oak – has a toasted aroma with a crisp, clean finish, while our Harrods New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc 2022 brings bright notes of passion fruit, lemon and ripe grapefruit. With any luck, the recipient will uncork a bottle while you’re there to enjoy it too.

Beauty Hampers

This season, it’s all about slowing down and taking care of ourselves. A beauty hamper can pave the way for a wellness-focused evening or a self-care pause in the middle of a hectic day. A Diptyque candle can help set the mood, while a myriad of skincare essentials – think an MZ SKin facemask or a stress-relieving bath oil from Olverum – might help bring the sparkle back to your loved one’s eyes.

Hampers for Every Occasion

Whatever the season, a hamper makes the perfect gift. After all, nothing says ‘I love you’ quite like a basket brimming with gourmet food. Think picnics in summer, family feasts in winter and everything from brunches and mid-afternoon tea parties in between. From baby showers and weddings to birthdays, our collection has every moment covered, including hampers to say congratulations, alcohol-free hampers and more.

History of Hampers

The hamper itself can be traced back to medieval times, with nobles such as William the Conqueror using woven ‘hanapiers’ to carry their dining goblets – or ‘hanaps’ in Old French. These were often made from precious metals, the better to signal status at feasts.

Harrods has been selling hampers since around 1850, as it was during the Victorian era that Christmas hampers became popular presents, with families in particular gifting them to their employees.

Back then, a Harrods hamper offered a choice of turkey, goose, or ham, plus a bottle of port, tea and a pound of butter and tobacco. Not to be sniffed at, but a box of crumbly all-butter mince pies certainly wouldn't go amiss.
