Rahua’s backstory is rare and began when renowned hair stylist Fabian Lliguin was surrounded by women of the Quechua-Shuar tribe in the Amazon rainforest – all people with hair that fell past their hips. He was soon educated about the traditional methods to extract Rahua oil, a liquid that kept the hair shiny and moisturised. In 2008, he founded his brand in close collaboration with Amazonian nations to craft authentic and sustainable products. The Skin & Scalp treatment is infused with organic aloe vera for a balanced complexion, while Guayusa – an extract obtained from a species of tree native to the rainforest – helps support healthy hair growth and skin rejuvenation.
