How to Style Diamonds from Day to Night

Words by Harrods Writers

Actress, model and tastemaker Amy Jackson discovers the new Harrods fine jewellery collection, and reveals her rules for wearing diamonds all day, every day.

“Diamonds in the daytime? Absolutely,” says Amy Jackson. And we’re on board. Gone are the days of reserving your finery for cocktail hour or black-tie parties. The modern approach to adornment is effortless yet intentional – elegantly expressed by the new Harrods jewellery collection of diamond and 18-karat gold classics.

By day, jewellery is no longer a separate entity – it’s an extension of the wardrobe, or a second skin. Within the Harrods collection, you’ll find versatile pieces designed to layer, offering endless possibilities for expression. “I love to mix metals in the daytime,” explains Amy, “and beautiful pieces like this you can stack or pare back with a white T-shirt.” Is there a formula for getting it right? For Amy, it’s balance. “If I stack the rings and the bracelets, I keep my neck and ears pretty free. The same goes for the neck – if I wear a big necklace, I keep the ears pretty simple.”

“I would describe my jewellery style the same way I describe my fashion style – elevated but sophisticated at the same time”

Of course, that’s not to say jewellery can’t still make a statement by night. The most covetable pieces transition seamlessly from day to dusk, adapting to every version of you. “Wearing jewellery can be part of your journey,” Amy says. “It can definitely change the way that you feel.”

In the Harrods collection, 18-karat white, yellow and rose gold pieces are crafted to complement any evening dress code, while white diamonds adorn each design for pure, timeless elegance. And, though the occasion may change, attention to detail remains a constant. “All good jewellery has something in common, and it’s the way it’s crafted,” says Amy. “It’s the way it catches the light, the way it’s designed and the shape, and the way it sits on the body. You can tell when a piece of jewellery is made with love.”
