Inspired by Burnett’s classic novel, The Secret Garden, London-based Polish artist Gosia Łapsa-Malawska has created the Secret Garden II Autumn chess set for Purding as a reflection on the passage of time. A hand-painted, lacquered European birch frame encased in matt satin steel evokes the visage of overgrown flora and moss-covered stones with its moody palette and faded beauty.
