Opus One was born from a collaboration between two iconic winemaking families: Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Robert Mondavi. Their shared vision to fuse centuries of winemaking tradition with innovative techniques resulted in the pair crafting exceptional wine in the heart of Napa Valley, where the terroir and careful farming created true expressions of the year. 2013 offered near-perfect winemaking weather with unseasonable warmth. This year’s vintage is characterised by blueberry, cassis and blackberry on the nose, while the first sip reveals a creamy texture and flavours of fresh, juicy black fruit and hints of dark chocolate.
