The star-shaped cake is made over three days with a sourdough starter that has been kept and refreshed since 1932, developing and enhancing both flavour and fragrance while ensuring it maintains a light, fluffy texture. Hand-kneaded and oven-baked, this delightful treat is accompanied by a sachet of powdered sugar for dusting over the top before serving.
