While in its blend, this whisky is entirely Scottish – matured at the Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown – its zesty, fruity notes and flavours of vanilla and oak come from its time spent ageing in oak casks formerly used to mature the oldest spirit in Japan, Awamori.
