The ancient art of Murano glassblowing and visionary contemporary style coalesce in the Sestiere collection by Cassina. Designed by Spanish-born, Milan-educated designer Patricia Urquiola, each vase is a lively homage to the heritage and landscapes of Venice. Each vase is ‘harnessed’ by a net of hand-applied cords, or morisa, as they are known in the Murano tradition, which are then decorated with ‘rigadin’, the typical striped motif of the lagoon.
